Paul Johnson (Founder, Co-Owner, & Lead Instructor)
Paul has worked with kids in a variety of settings throughout his career. He’s worked in education programs on organic farms in MT & WA, lead field studies in the Wasatch Mts., volunteered at a street school in Bangladesh, lead international trips in Asia and worked at a rural school during his stint in the Peace Corps. For the last 15 years he’s taught elementary students in public & charter schools south of Seattle, here in Boise and at gigantic international schools in Asia. He is passionate about inquiry and project based learning and is beyond excited to bring new opportunities to Idaho kids.
Certifications/Licenses: Idaho K-8 Teaching Certificate, National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification, CPR & First Aid, City of Boise Level 3 Childcare Worker License
Nora Strauch (Co-owner)
Nora keeps this ship afloat with her administrative expertise. She is an accomplished inquiry teacher who co-develops our curriculum and programming. Nora also taught in public, private & charter schools for the past 15 years, has a Masters in Education, is trained in Regio Emilia Approach to early childhood learning, and is just finishing a program to receive her school administrator certification. She is currently the IB Coordinator at Sage International Schools.
Bo (Field Guide, Designer & Occasional Participant) Our daughter Bo is an 9th grader who supports Moretracks as our designer of all things and assists in leading a variety of programming for littles (theater, skateboarding, & anything in the making/creative realm).
Morris (No Title…he’s just a kid) Our 3rd Grader. He loves when he and his friends get to sign up for any and all Moretracks adventures!
